Hello beautiful Whale Mailers! Officially our 4th issue?! Can you believe it! Couldn’t have done it without you all. TY for ze support!
This week we got a banger! Have you heard of NFTs? Why in the hell is a picture of a f*cking rock worth $960 million!? Well we have the answer: in two essays, SAAS & Status Monkeys.
I unveil, for the first time, how I keep up my reputation of the Emoji Master in the Tool of the Week. We also dropped some heat in the “What We Are Listening To” section with Foxwell, Shackelford and a mind blowing (pun intended) pod about how the brain works.
Lastly, we introduce you all to the Tiktok Marketplace, like Billo, but actually good. Have a whale of day everyone!
P.S. Don’t forget to tweet @TryTripleWhale your answer for the question of the week for a chance at snagging some Triple Swag.

🚀 New Product Updates
Too much epicness to fit in the product update section; so we are doing a separate email. We won’t do this often (like super rare), but we have some uber kewl features that we think you all will love.
Friday morning we will drop the mic ;)
One user dubbed it the Shopify Newsfeed. Brilliant.
👩🏻💻 What we are reading?
Incredible Read. Super Super long. But incredible nonetheless.

Why community, not an individuals, is the new unit of marketing
🎧 What we are listening to?
I am currently reading The Master and His Emissary by Iain McGilchrist. Absolutely incredible stuff. For a little bit of a primer, listen to the Hidden Brain below.
We dive into Iain McGilchrist’s research on how the left and right hemispheres shape our perceptions.
In this episode, Nick gives his perspective on the importance of performance-driven ad creative.

Here are all the strategies that Andrew has been finding success with in the new landscape.
🤯 Fact of the Week
Visa just purchased a CryptoPunk. NFTs seem to have gone main stream. Apes, CryptoPunks, Rocks, and Penguins are commanding a bananas premium.
Makes no sense, unless you apply the SAAS framework referenced above. I mean look at the escalation of the cheapest Crytopunk.
Do you all own any NFTs? Ping us with your favorite.
Visa has spent ~$150,000 on an NFT - CryptoPunk 7610.

🧰 Tool of the Week
It’s a bit of an inside joke at Triple that I love emojis. I put them in our Notion docs, they are in my Triple Dashboards and Slack.
Until today, I haven’t revealed my secret weapon…
Free Mac app that makes typing emoji faster and easier.
🦸🏼♀️ Tip of the Week
Heads up. If I can spot a @billoapp review from a mile away, I bet consumers can spot them for 12 inches away.
As humans, our BS detectors are highly calibrated to voice and faction expressions.
Paid testimonials require ACTING.
Good acting is HARD.

So everyone knows proper UGC is money for paid and organic, but how do you source it? Well, I have went down the Billo rabbit hole to no avail. Then David Herrmann put me on to the TikTok Marketplace. You can choose from creators, submit your proposals, then they send you the video back.
Once approved you can start smashing it as a Spark ad. I have been able to snag creators for just free product, so start there and modulate around the value you are generating. GL!

🤔 Question of the Week
If you could invite 4 people to dinner, dead or alive, fictional or non-fictional, who would they be?
