Setting Up Klaviyo Tracking with Triple Pixel

Corey gives a quick and straight forward tutorial on how to setup your Klaviyo UTMs to work with Triple Whale. #LetsGo

Hey everybody, Corey from Triple Whale here. And in this short video we're gonna be going over how to set up UTM tracking for your Klaviyo account. What this is gonna allow is the pixel will now be able to attribute and show channel overlap and all the other features to come, um, with the orders that are coming from Klaviyo.

So let's crack right into it. Uh, log into your Klaviyo account, come up here to your profile and click account. That's gonna load this page here. And then you wanna go to settings and then select UTM tracking. Okay, that will load this page that we're on right now. And as a quick overview, we can see that Klaviyo uh, has UTM source being set to the list or segment name or the float name. UTM medium is set to the actual email, um, excuse me, that it's coming from email.

And then UTM campaign will be the actual name of this specific message. Um, and then it'll be the flow email name. Okay, So what we wanna do is add another one, right?

Cuz triple pixel needs to know that this click, uh, that someone just clicked in the email came from Klaviyo. And so how we're gonna do that is we're gonna click add a custom UTM parameter and we're gonna call it triple source. Okay? Make sure you follow this specific capitalization. Um, I guess we can look for it for you just in case you don't capitalize it, but easy enough just to copy this and um, type it the same way. Okay?

And then we're gonna go here into the value for the campaign and we're gonna type Klaviyo enter. Okay, Enter doesn't work, just click create option. And then over here for the flow, we're gonna do the same thing. We're gonna type in Klaviyo, make sure you spell these things right, as you can see. Yeah, just add a little typo there. Okay, so we have triple source.

I spoke Klaviyo here wrong as well. You guys were probably seeing that as I typed it. <laugh>, double check your work. Okay, And then we wanna select automatically add U 10 parameters to links. So if you already have UTMs, if you already have stuff, this will not affected, this will just add it to the end. And so any um, click of any email will automatically add these UTMs.

Now you could go through all your emails and all your flows and add this manually, but that would be a nightmare depending on how many you have. So this is a very easy way to update all of your flows in campaigns. Okay? And so once you've added that, just do another double check and then just click update and you'll be good to go to start tracking your orders and traffic that are coming from Klaviyo.
