Triple Whale now helps you solve the problem of having one Facebook Ad Account with multiple Shopify stores. This is especially relevant to our users on Shopify Plus or located in Europe who have multiple storefronts for each country. e.g.: .com.au, .eu, .co.uk. If you're looking to expand into other countries, here's a great guide from Shopify.
To get Ad Account Segmentation, please click on the bottom right chat icon (or in your Triple Whale dashboard click Get Help on the left hand menu bar) > click on Send us a message > click Ad Account Segmentation . Then, our incredible team will get Ad Account Segmentation added to your Triple Whale Dashboard! That easy.
Once you have access, check out this quick video breakdown of how to setup Ad Account Segmentation within Triple Whale. We've also provided steps and screenshots below.
On the top right of each section of the summary page, a + symbol now appears, which will create a new segmentation filter.
A filter can be created on the basis of either one or several fields. Fields allow you to determine how you'd like to filter your view. Possible fields options include: Campaign Name, Campaign ID, Ad Set Name, Ad Set ID, Ad Name, Ad ID. After selecting a field, choose the criteria of the filter. So, for example, if the field = Campaign, you'll want to choose which campaigns (based on your naming conventions) should be included in the filter.
For text-based fields, like Campaign Name, options of “Contains” and “Does not Contain” will appear. For number-based fields, like Campaign ID, options of “Equal” and “Do Not Equal” will appear.
After your input the field, you will see a pre-populated list of all of the values within the field. So, if you chose Campaign Name, you will see a list of all of your campaign names. You can also write in free text instead.
It's important to note that you can layer filters to refine results by multiple selected criteria. After creating one, click the small + to add another criteria. Now, you can make a filter that would only show “Campaign Name contains x OR Campaign Name contains y.” You can add as many of these criteria as you would like.
Once you save your filter, you’ll notice an upside-down triangle symbol in that upper-right corner; all of your saved filters will appear here. Simply select one of them, click Done, and your data will change to reflect only the data in that segment. These filters are saved in your Triple Whale account, so anyone with access to the store's dashboard will see all filters created for that store.
The next time you come back to the page, your filter will still be applied. If you select more than one filter, it serves as an “and” function. So, if you choose two filters, you will only see the metrics that are contained within both of the filters.
