Introducing a new look for the Triple Whale we’ve become

A brand is one of the ways a company tells people who it is before saying a word. At its best, it does more than create recognition; it makes the company’s ambition, value, and direction immediately clear.

As a business matures and evolves, its brand must evolve with it. This gives the market a better understanding of what a company has become, and where it is going.

Today, we’re unveiling a new look and identity that reflects who we are now and the future we’re building toward.

Triple Whale has evolved considerably since our founding. Many customers first knew us as a dashboarding and attribution company, and that association made sense. We gave ecommerce teams a clear view of performance when their data was fragmented across multiple platforms.

While that clarity is still true, we’ve grown sizably beyond that. Triple Whale has effectively become an operating system — connecting the data, measurement, context, and intelligence needed to understand and operate a commerce business. We support more teams of all sizes, inform more decisions, and shape more of the daily work behind growing a brand.

Our identity needed to catch up.

We wanted it to communicate intelligence without feeling cold, confidence without feeling corporate, and momentum without creating unnecessary noise. Most of all, it still needed to feel unmistakably like Triple Whale.

Evolving without losing sight of where we’ve been

One of the most important decisions in a rebrand is determining what should change and what has earned the right to stay. For us, the whale was never in question.

It makes Triple Whale memorable in a technology category filled with abstract names and interchangeable symbols. Our customers recognize it, our team identifies with it, and it connects naturally to the environment we help businesses navigate.

Commerce teams operate in an ocean of information. They are drowning in data. Triple Whale brings every signal in and around their business together so operators can understand what matters most and move forward with confidence.

The whale has become an unmistakable symbol of our company. It carries the recognition of what we’ve built and the ambition still ahead of us. We certainly weren’t going to leave it behind, but it needed to evolve into a clearer, more enduring expression of who we are becoming.

The thinking behind our new mark

The refreshed mark is a modernization of our familiar whale tail, creating a distinctive symbol connected to our name that gives it energy, movement, and personality.

That it communicates so much with so little was intentional. Our platform exists to bring clarity to complexity, and our identity should reflect the same discipline. Rather than trying to explain every aspect of Triple Whale, the mark creates a clear and recognizable signal that can work wherever customers encounter us.

It also gives the brand room to grow. Triple Whale now appears across products, content, research, events, and customer communities. Our identity needs to work in all those settings across the entire ecosystem, from the smallest product moment to the largest brand expression.

Three pillars at the center of the brand

The refreshed mark also connects our identity to three pillars guiding our company: clarity, agility, and velocity.

Clarity

Commerce is complicated. Our role is not to give businesses more data to sort through, turn fragmented information into a clear view of what matters

That idea shaped our desire for a more distilled visual identity that reflects the experience we want to create for our customers: Less time reconciling systems, a complete understanding of the business, and clear direction on what to do next.

Agility

The companies we serve operate in an environment that changes constantly. Customer behavior shifts, creative performance changes, and new opportunities emerge instantly..

Triple Whale gives businesses the real-time intelligence to respond as conditions change. Our identity reflects that same responsiveness and adaptability, helping customers feel ready to pivot when the moment demands it

Agility also describes how the visual system works. It creates consistency across the many places Triple Whale appears while remaining flexible enough to meet the needs of each experience.

Velocity

Triple Whale has always been built for operators—people who make decisions, test ideas, solve problems, and build businesses in real time. Our new identity carries that same sense of forward motion..

Velocity means reducing the distance between understanding what is happening and taking meaningful action. It helps businesses maintain momentum, move further, and grow with purpose. We want our brand to carry that energy.

Together, clarity, agility, and velocity give us more than three brand attributes. They set a standard for how Triple Whale should look, sound, and behave, and for how we help businesses move forward.

More than a logo

The logo may be the most recognizable expression of the rebrand, but the larger goal was to create a coherent experience.

Someone might encounter Triple Whale through our platform, a piece of research, an event, a conversation with Moby, or an idea shared by a member of our team. Those moments should feel connected.

Our new visual identity gives each interaction a shared foundation. It provides enough structure to make Triple Whale recognizable wherever it appears and enough flexibility to support a company that continues to expand.

A new brand isn’t just an exercise in graphics. Work like this matters because a strong brand helps people understand a company. It connects different products, messages, and experiences into one recognizable idea. It gives our team a common language and gives our customers a clearer sense of what they can expect from us.

Still Triple Whale

This rebrand was not prompted by a change in our purpose. It was prompted by the growth of our ability to fulfill it.

Triple Whale began by helping merchants see their businesses more clearly. Since then, we have built the data and measurement foundation needed to make that view more dependable. We are now building intelligence that can help teams investigate performance, make decisions, and complete work using the context of their own businesses.

Today, Triple Whale serves more than 65,000 brands and 2,000 agencies across 85 countries. And in the past year alone, our platform tracked $71 billion in gross merchandise value and $25 billion in advertising spend.

Behind that scale are people building something remarkable. Our purpose remains the same: helping every brand see their business clearly, move with confidence, and spend more time on the work only its people can do: imagining what comes next, building what customers will love, and turning an ambitious idea into something that lasts.

The whale is still here. Our name is still here. Our commitment to merchants and operators is still here. The new mark honors where we began without holding us there. It is simpler, more expressive, and built to move with us.

This is the Triple Whale our customers have helped us become, and the brand that will carry us into what comes next.

his tariffs on April 2, the timing corresponds with potential changes in advertising behavior among ecommerce brands (though it isn’t necessarily correlated).
