Several LQBTQ+ brands created and promoted new products for Pride this year. Here’s a quick roundup of 5 favorites in the DTC space that created interesting, inspiring, or just plain cool products.

JVN

Grab some hair products created by Queer Eye Icon Jonathan Van Ness so you have the sweetest flow for Pride 2023! The brand’s slogan is “come as you are.” Everyone is welcome, everyone can have great hair.

To give back, JVN created a JVN x GLSEN Pride Hair Set which will donate 10% of gross profits from the set to GLSEN, a nonprofit organization working to create a safe and inclusive K-12 learning environment. (There’s also a free mystery box of customer favorites included with orders over $50)

Suay Sew Shop

Based in LA, Suay makes home goods and apparel primarily from deadstock fabric, meaning it’s great for both the environment and our souls. For Pride 2023, Suay has created Rainbow Linen Pillows to add a little pop of color to your home!

Humankind

Humankind Swimwear is a gender-inclusive and LGBTQ-focused swimwear brand. It offers beachwear designed for non-gender conforming people who often struggle to find swimwear they feel comfortable in. It was founded by Haily Marzullo, whose idea for the swimwear came from her own struggle to find comfortable swim options.

Their pride collection includes limited edition drops, and the ads feature people describing what they like about the product compared to what they normally struggle to find!

Boy Smells

Artisan candlemaker Boy Smells has created a line of GenderfulTM candles and fragrances for everybody to enjoy. Lots of their candles and fragrances have cheeky names, but LES continues to be a cult favorite.

ph by the Phluid Project x Kohl’s

Last but not least, a DTC brand partnering with a brick and mortar stalwart.

In collaboration with Kohl’s, ph by the Phluid Project has created an entire collection to celebrate Pride 2023.

This year, Kohl’s is donating $100,000 to The Trevor Project, the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ youth. The Phluid Project strives to create inclusive clothing to support the Phluid Phoundation which empowers marginalized communities at a global grassroots level.
