Our Founder's Story

Triple Whale was founded by Maxx Blank, AJ Orbach, and Ivan Chernykh, former e-commerce merchants and startup entrepreneurs who set out to create the tools they wish they had. From the beginning, the team hit product-market fit with a large and passionate community of Shopify brands, who leveraged the platform to save time and make more money. Backed by Shopify and leading investors, Triple Whale is on a mission to democratize the latest advancements in AI and automation to empower small and medium-sized e-commerce businesses to transform their data into profitability.

Triple Whale, a Columbus, Ohio–based startup, announced that it has raised a $25 million Series B round from NFX and Elephant, with strategic participation from Shopify itself. That’s on top of the company’s 2022 $24 million Series A round (led by Elephant) and its $2.7 million seed round (led by NFX).
